WHO WE ARE

2040 Partners for Health is a Community-Based Participatory Research (CPBR) and development partnership between five neighborhoods (East Montclair, Greater Park Hill, Northeast Park Hill, Northwest Aurora and Stapleton – all located in the northeast metro Denver area), the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and the Stapleton Foundation; these partners are working together to become a learning community that identifies health disparities and designs, implements and assesses health programs that improve the health of all residents and employees within this community collaborative. We are a research enterprise committed to CBPR principles, using scientific methods appropriate to our questions. Questions that are being asked now and until the year 2040 are: “Did this community collaborative improve the state of the health within these neighborhoods?” And “Did this community become any healthier than what would naturally have occurred if there had not been an effort to introduce health programs and innovations that were informed and developed by CBPR?” These questions require a long-term commitment to engage in multiple scientific and community-based efforts.
